OXeSIM Documentation

Source of truth for plans, setup, account access, troubleshooting, and policies.

What OXeSIM is

OXeSIM provides digital eSIM plans designed to keep travel connectivity simple, fast, and clear. Our platform is built to reduce confusion for both technical and non-technical travelers by removing unnecessary steps, unnecessary marketing clutter, and complicated top-up flows.

Main eSIM plan types

Local eSIM
One eSIM for one country.

Regional eSIM
One eSIM for multiple countries within one region.

Global eSIM
One eSIM for worldwide travel across supported destinations.

Core model

All OXeSIM plans are designed around:

  • instant digital delivery
  • no physical SIM card
  • simple activation flow
  • broad destination coverage across supported plans

Some destinations may not appear at certain times because of temporary availability limits or compliance requirements.

How to choose the right plan

Go to eSIM Plans in the main header and choose:

  • Local
  • Regional
  • Global
  • All eSIMs

Then select your destination and compare the available plans on that page. You can also use the search bar to find your destination faster.

Standard vs Unlimited vs Data/Calls/Texts

Standard
Includes a fixed data amount.

Unlimited
Designed for travelers who want the most flexible data option.

Data/Calls/Texts
Includes data plus calling minutes and SMS, when available.

Not every destination includes Data/Calls/Texts plans. If available, they will appear on the plan page.

Regional and Global country coverage

If you are viewing a Regional or Global plan, click View Country Coverage to see supported countries for that plan. This list is provided for general guidance. Final coverage, speed, and network details are available after purchase through eSIM Instructions – PIN: XXXX in My eSIMs.

Local plans do not show View Country Coverage because they are built for one country only.

When the plan starts

Your package starts when you connect to a supported network in a supported destination.

For Regional and Global plans, if you are already in a covered country when you activate the eSIM, the plan may start immediately.

When to buy before travel

We recommend purchasing your eSIM within 30 days before travel and installing it before your trip while you still have a stable internet connection.

Minimum device requirements

To use an OXeSIM plan, your device must:

  • support eSIM technology
  • be carrier-unlocked
  • not be jailbroken on iPhone
  • not be rooted on Android

Compatibility checker

Click Check Device Compatibility on the plan page. Our compatibility list is provided for general guidance only.

Compatibility may vary depending on:

  • model
  • region
  • carrier
  • operating system version

Customers are responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase.

Important note

Device incompatibility is not a valid refund reason. Please confirm compatibility before ordering.

Account requirement

An account is required before completing checkout. This helps keep checkout secure and reduces spam or abuse.

The account step is built into the flow, so you will be guided there automatically during checkout.

After successful payment

After a successful purchase, you will see your order details, including the eSIM Installation & Usage section.

Where to access your eSIM

After purchase, the best place to access your eSIM is:

My Account → My eSIMs

You will also receive a confirmation email, but My eSIMs is the recommended and easiest place to manage your eSIM.

Installation priority order

Use the available installation options in this order:

  1. Install eSIM
Best option when available on supported iPhone and iPad devices. This is the fastest and easiest method.
  2. Show QR Code
Use this if Install eSIM is not available, or if you are using a computer or another device to access your order.
  3. eSIM Instructions – PIN: XXXX
Use this if you need the manual setup option or more detailed installation and network information.

Best recommended installation method

If Install eSIM is available on your supported iPhone or iPad, use that first.

If it is not available, use Show QR Code.

Use eSIM Instructions – PIN: XXXX only when you need the manual option.

After the eSIM is installed

Go to:

Settings → Cellular

Then:

  • open the OXeSIM line
  • make sure Turn On This Line is on
  • turn Data Roaming on

IMPORTANT/ Then go to:

Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data

Select the OXeSIM line.

If you purchased Data/Calls/Texts

Also go to:

Settings → Cellular → Default Voice Line

Select the OXeSIM line.

Is manual configuration always required?

No. In most cases, setup is mostly automatic after installation. You may only need to confirm:

  • the OXeSIM line is on
  • Data Roaming is on
  • the OXeSIM line is selected under Cellular Data
  • Default Voice Line is selected if your plan includes calls and texts

Low Data Mode

To reduce unnecessary background usage, we recommend enabling Low Data Mode after installation.

What you can see in My eSIMs

In My Account → My eSIMs, you can open any purchased eSIM and view:

  • order details
  • installation options
  • remaining data
  • current status
  • expiration date after activation

Status labels

Your eSIM may show one of these statuses:

NOT ACTIVATED
The eSIM has not been activated yet.

ACTIVATED
The eSIM is active.

EXPIRED
The plan has ended.

Example display

Your eSIM details may show a format such as:

Remaining: 0 MB / 0 MB | Status: EXPIRED | Expires: 2026-03-09 00:33:07

Using the same eSIM again

OXeSIM does not rely on a traditional top-up flow.

If you want to use the same eSIM again:

  • go to My Account → My eSIMs
  • open the eSIM you want to use again
  • click Order again
  • complete checkout
  • activate it the same way

This is OXeSIM’s simplified reuse flow, which can fit both tech and non-tech users.

eSIM installed but no connection

Go to:

Settings → Cellular

Then:

  • open the OXeSIM line
  • make sure Turn On This Line is on
  • turn Data Roaming on

Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data

Select the OXeSIM line.

eSIM installed but still not working

Most common reason, IMPORTANT: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Select the OXeSIM line.

Check the following:

  • you are in a supported destination
  • you are connected to a supported network
  • the OXeSIM line is turned on
  • Data Roaming is turned on
  • the OXeSIM line is selected under Cellular Data

If your plan includes calls and texts, also check:

  • Settings → Cellular → Default Voice Line

Select the OXeSIM line there too.

I do not see Install eSIM

Install eSIM is only available on supported iPhone and iPad devices.

If it is not shown:

  • use Show QR Code
  • if needed, use eSIM Instructions – PIN: XXXX

Best time to install

We strongly recommend installing and activating your eSIM before travel while you still have a stable internet connection.

Example: if a traveler is flying from Los Angeles to Paris, it is better to complete installation before departure or while still at the airport, rather than waiting until connectivity becomes limited.

Can I remove and reinstall my eSIM?

No. Removing and reinstalling an eSIM is not a supported troubleshooting step.

Once an eSIM is installed on your device, do not remove it. If you have connection issues:

  • keep the eSIM installed
  • restart your device
  • follow the steps in this documentation and Help Center

Warning: eSIMs cannot be reinstalled after uninstalling.
